Use of the gerund -ing.
When a verb follows a preposition (of, for, in, at, etc.,) it typically takes the gerund form (the "-ing" form). For example:

The “pereiranos” are distinguished for being hospitable.
They have a spirit of starting their own businesses.

Fill in the blanks using the verb in parentheses in the -ing form.

1. She is fond of  (read) novels in her free time.

2. The team is committed to  (improve) their performance.

3. They are excited about  (visit) the art museum next weekend.

4. My brother is really good at  (play) the guitar.

5. The professor is interested in (research) new technologies.
